I am a Portage home visitor. Portage is a home visiting educational service for pre-school children with additional needs and their families. We provide oppertunities to learn and develop through play. We visit the family home offering support and advice on alsorts. We take and share educational toys and also sensory toys. With the toys we encourage interaction, language and relationships. With sharing these toys with many families, they get worn put, broken and out dated often. We would like to raise some money to buy some brand new, up to date, appropriate toys to replace old and broken toys. I am running the marathon to be able to buy these toys to share with the children and families in Kent.
