Childhood First provides crucial rehabilitation, educational and therapeutic support to some of the most vulnerable UK children who have suffered the trauma of neglect and abuse.

Our specialist residential grounds in Kent and Norfolk include also include educational services where children can stay and feel safe, whilst learning and covering the full National Curriculum. Our different residencies care for children and young people from the ages of 5 to 17, who have complex emotional and behavioural needs, and often nowhere else to go.

Through our work, we provide traumatised children and young people with the safe, warm and loving home they have never had and the therapeutic support they need to overcome the traumatic experiences of their past and build bright and happy futures.

Next year we plan to launch a major capital project to transform two of our residencies and create additional beds to enable us to care for more children, starting with Gables House. The cost of this much needed building extension and other planning works in Kent is close to £1million, and although we are around halfway to our target, we still need your help.

On 7th November Childhood First Trustee Scott Murdoch is set to host a wonderful fundraising dinner in support of this very worthy cause. Our mission is to transform the lives of these young people so that they can relate well to others, fulfil their potential, and enjoy life to the fullest.
