    Story

March 2016 My step dad (Lee Mcadam) got diagnosed with grade 4 Glioblastomas (brain tumor). He had a massive operation and managed to fight everything and recover well.

After the operation we got told that it was terminal and that he has between 12- 15 months to live. This was heart breaking for us all. He had radiotherapy which went well and started to have chemotherapy. However, his body did not agree with the chemotherapy and it had to be stopped.

Everything was gong well, he was himself. He suffered from a seizure in May 2016 and this was when things started to change. He was strong and ready to fight cancer for as long as he could.

In January 2017 he was looking to go back to work after having 10 months off. This is when he started to have seizures again, which meant he was unable to go back to work.

He has also suffered from blood clots. In March he had to go into hospital as he was unable to breathe properly due to having two blood clots on his lungs. This did not make him stop smiling.

In April/May he had more seizures, this time he ended up in ICU. He slowly started to recover from the seizures. A few days after he got out of hospital he had another seizure and he had one a week, for 3 weeks.

Everything started to look up after that. He was told he is able to have more radiotherapy due to him finishing it a year ago! We all had a bit of hope in us and thought he was able to keep fighting it.

Friday 2nd June he suffered from a seizure. He started to come around from the seizure but suddenly his body gave up and he went into cardiac arrest. The paramedics were working on him to try and bring him around but he gave up. After 15 months and 1 day of him fighting, staying strong and happy, we sadly lost him that night.

We want to give him the best send off he could ever have and we would be thankful for any donations that could be made!
