Piston Broke Cycling Team:

I and a number of friends are supporting the Caterham Sea Cadets in an effort to raise money to fund a new minibus.

The Caterham Sea Cadets are an amazing group of young people who spend an amazing amount of time assisting the local community. Whilst they are building life skills for themselves they always have the community and others at the heart of what they do.

Currently, the cadets desperately need a new mini bus to help them carry out all kinds of duties. Based at the old barracks in Caterham, the Sea Cadets provides a great opportunity for local kids to learn some of the life skills that may not otherwise be available to them - learning new skills and working in teams - in an environment where young people find new confidence and inspiration and at the same time helping the local community.

The Piston Broke cycling team have decided to help them achieve that goal by raising £10,000 towards a well deserved new sparkly vehicle by cycling 185 miles round London over 2 days on Saturday & Sunday 13/14 May.

As with my previous fundraising efforts that many of you have been kind enough to sponsor, I will be covering all the costs of the event so all of your contribution will go to the Sea Cadets, with the added bonus that my employer, Barclays, will match the first £1,000 that we raise..

Please dig deep and help us get that minibus so that more kids in Caterham can get the opportunity to expand their horizons and build there life skills.
