I am trying to help other families in the deaf club as they have helped me. As you may know, my son Tom is deaf and he and I have received a lot of assistance from the society. I think that the challenge of 120 lengths, 3 kilometers, is a great way to raise money to support those who have supported me. Please give what you can to help all of the families affected by deafness in children.

I'm also trying to raise money for Sam Elliott as he is a friend of the family. He has been affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy and I would like to help him reach his goal of a power wheelchair for football, as he is a massive football fan, and at the time of writing is less than £700 away from his £7500 goal.
