Our beautiful sister/daughter and young mum sadly grew her angel wings on Tuesday 17th April 2018, this was 10 days shy of her 28th birthday.

Claire had a very difficult life which started with her developing diabetes (type 1)

Over the last couple of years her diabetes has basically attacked her body, starting with claires legs, she managed to break both of her legs which left her permanently in a wheel chair, next came the loss of her sight. This was a very hard adjustment for her. This is where we saw her starting to give up, She felt like she had no quality of life. We tried our best to keep her positive but things just grew worse. She lost her teeth and then lastly her hair. She became unable to eat and had to be tube fed for a long time. We knew her time was coming to an end.

After a very long fight my mum had to make a very difficult decision and let her youngest daughter pass away. Claire was in the last stage of kidney failure. In her last few weeks her kidney function was only working at 4% which meant they just wern’t working the way they were meant to. She had a build up of fluid around her lungs and her body was just holding all of the The extra water which was another strain on her body.

The doctors have reassured us that she wasn’t in any pain as she passed and this is something that will stay with us. We know she has been in an awful amount of pain and now she is flying high with her beautiful baby girl Lillie mae.

Claire had a brilliant sense of humour and she lived for her family. She always spoilt the children and just loved her family!

Myself and my family are extremely shocked that she is gone and nothing could have prepared us for this to happen. She is already so missed and it hasnt really hit home.

My mum has asked me to set up this page to help raise the money for the funeral she has asked for.

My mums world has been totally turned upside down as all she has ever done is care for claire. The flat my mum lives in was only for claire (disabled accessible) which means she will have to leave here when the council tell her to. She has never been able to work as she has been my sisters carer for so many years. All the family are pulling together but with our own children to look after we are trying our best to support her.

We have set up this page in memory of claire. And just to take a little bit of pressure off of my mum. She honestly couldn‘t have done a better job of looking after her. She underwent certain types of training so that she could care for her. A devoted mum who helped claire when ever she needed.
