Weʼve raised £3,292 to promote awareness of teenage mental health

    Cranbrook, UK
Funded on Sunday, 16th September 2018

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

Sandy, Ella and Ali are walking the 100km London2Brighton challenge non-stop, raising money to promote awareness of teenage mental health.

This has been sparked by the tragic suicide earlier this year of a GCSE pupil at our local school which hit the local community very hard.

The two charities we've chosen are both working to provide emotional support in schools. They are the Sam West Foundation and Place2Be. For example at Place2Be your donation could be used in the following ways:

£7 could support a lunch-time support session for one child

£20 could support a parent with a one-to-one counselling session

£95 could give one child a year’s access to Place2Be in their school

£500 could recruit and train a volunteer counsellor to work in a school.

Every penny of the money we raise will go to our chosen charities. Please help us to reach our target. Thank you!
