Many of you will know that on 25th October 2019 we were blessed with our third son, Tommy. Not long after his birth we found out he was born with an extra chromosome meaning he has Trisomy 21 which is the official name for what we know as Down's Syndrome. Admittedly Charlie and I were shocked and worried about what the future holds for him and us but we now know that we thought those initial thoughts because there is so much negativity that surrounds Down's Syndrome.

My aim now is to raise awareness that there is NOTHING to be down about! Tommy brings us so much joy and his future is bright. Yes he will come across hurdles but what child doesnt?! The myths that surround Down Syndrome are outdated and we feel it's our job to educate people. We have received a lot of support and guidance from PADS (Positive about Down Syndrome) and we would like to raise some money for them.

To raise awareness of the positives Trisomy 21 brings I will be running from my house to Burnley FC on 21st August 2020. Why Burnley FC?? Because it is 21 miles (there and back) from our house :)
