On christmas eve 2007 my niece was born, she suffered lack of oxygen at birth resulting in her having Cerebral Palsy.

The diagnosis was grim “she wont ever walk or talk”.

The whole family pulled together and between us we worked with individuals who maybe could help her.

She is now walking – she wobbles and falls a lot but with the help of private physio we are trying to build her core strength.

Her speech is really lacking behind the school have suggested intense speech therapy – but unfortunatetly like the physio said the NHS will only fund 2 half hour sessions every 6 months – which is not what she requires to not let this disability rule her life!!!!

So I am raising money to give her the therapy that she so deserves – this being speech therapy and physio.

She is the kindest funniest little girl whos so brave and determined in life……………..

i will be running 13.1 miles in the chesterfield half marathon on the 22nd october to raise as much money as i can to help lacey's speech therapy sessions..
