    Story

    Hello

Thank you for taking the time to read this story.

This is Jack Henry Wills, He was born on the 18th December 2012, He’s one of four children, he has a big sister Daisy, big brother Owen and a little sister Lauren. They all live in the same house with their Mum and Dad in Pennington. New forest. Hampshire.

On the 16th June 2017 he was admitted to Southampton University Hospital following a seizure at his school.

After a few hours in the AE Dept. He had a CT scan which found out that he had an abnormality on the brain, the doctors told his Mum and Dad that he would have to have an MRI scan to see what was going on.

After the MRI scan he was taken to a ward called g2 neurological.

This is where he stayed for a couple of days with his Mum, while the doctors looked at the scan.

The doctors told his parents that he would have to have a biopsy so they could tell exactly what it was, but the Doctors suggested to the parents that it could be a Brain tumour.

After a week or two the doctors asked the parents for a meeting to discuss the results from the biopsy.

It turns out that he has a Grade 3 Brain tumour called an Anaplastic astrocytoma.

This is a very rare Tumour for someone of Jacks age, apparently only 35% of people diagnosed with this tumour make 3 yrs. after diagnoses.

He is currently receiving chemotherapy and treatment for his seizures through the Piam Brown children’s cancer unit at Southampton University Hospital.

Out of the money raised, it will be spent on a holiday of a life time for Jack and his family, so they can make some wonderful memories, anything over this will be divided equally between The Piam Brown ward, Click Sargent and Naomi’s House charities.
