    Story

Lily May is 3 years old and has a rare genetic condition called micro deletion 1q21.1 which affects her life a lot. She has hyper-mobile joints which means they can dislocate easily which her knees do regularly and her muscles ache after short burst of exercise. Everyday is painful for Lily May she is always using wheat bags to relax her legs and ease the pain. She must be in pain as she has very high pain threshold which comes with the condition. Lily also has learning delay and has a lot of special needs intervention and she is behind with her physical development, speech and language. Lily is a lovely little girl who everyone says is a joy to meet, but if they could see her in pain they would see a different little girl. We asked the hospital about a wheelchair but because she is on the small size and not able to meet the weight to qualify for help but she hates her buggy and says she is not a baby when she has to use it. So we hope to fund the wheelchair and sensory items which help her with relaxation. There is such a list of things Lily needs but for her the one she wants most is a pink wheelchair for going to and from nursery shopping and next September school which is a mile and half from home. if anyone feels they can help in any small way you would be helping a little girl with a sunny smile.

    thank you
