    Story

Children of Venezuela are starving and cannot go to school!

    They need our help!

Our names are Iliana Rodriguez and Deyali Araujo, and we are Venezuelans living in England. We have set this fundraising to hopefully appeal to your goodwill and charity in order to request donations for children in need in Venezuela. Hunger, starvation, lack of education and neglect are some of the challenges the children of Venezuela have faced every day for the past years, with many dying every single day.

We want to help alleviate the hunger of some unfortunate children in Venezuela and we need your help. Our aim is to raise £2,800 to send children clothes to Venezuela this year in time for Christmas and provide a daily meal to children.

We focus on supporting 100 kids living in rural communities, including Girl Guides that live in poverty. Their families often lack resources to provide a daily meal and clothes to go to school. With our support these children can now have a daily meal that provides all the nutritional value every child should have and appropriate clothes that allow them to continue their education.

We have been fund raising for some time. At the end of 2019, we organised a Latina party(Venezuelan charity party in Aylesbury an 'incredible success' | Bucks Herald), and were proud to raise £2100 and ship 135kg of children's clothes, shoes and toys. The funding provided a traditional Christmas meal. Given the unprecedented times caused by the pandemic, we have been unable to organise any events in the past year to continue our mission but as the world is coming back to some normality, this 13th of August 2022 we will be holding our second event, a Latina Party in Aylesbury Multicultural Community Centre.

We have approximately 200kg of children’s shoes and clothes that we need to urgently send to Venezuela so the children can go to school and at the same time raise enough funds to give them a nutritional meal. We need your help! The shipping cost us £5 per kilogram with Lonbox Express.

Please may we ask you to sponsor this worthwhile urgent cause? Everything you donate will go straight to these children!

We Thank You on behalf of the Venezuelan children
