For the 31 days of October, I am quitting drinking and smoking in order to raise money for a new charity very close to my heart. On February 28th 2016, our close friend Flynney lost her battle with cancer. In her memory, her parents have created a charity called "Flynnes Barn" to provide a space for terminally ill children and teenagers in the Lake District where they can enjoy activities and forget about their conditions for a while.

Flynney was such a beautiful person who, even though she was diagnosed with a brain tumour at 14, never let her illness define who she was. She never let her smile falter and contined to do all the activities she loved, like sailing with Ellen McArthur and watching awesome bluegrass bands.

Sadly she never made it to her 18th birthday, which was in September. As she could never have her first legal drink, I've decided to stop drinking. Obviously, as a bartender in a tequila bar, that is going to be a very, very difficult, and to give myself an even bigger challenge, I am also giving up smoking.

Yes, shock, the blem queen is hanging up her title for a month. On average, I probably drink 3/4 of a bottle of tequila a day #legend and smoke a rather large sum of cigarettes. This will be the toughest thing I've done since I attempted to do chemistry A-level, so will probably be a very entertaining month for everyone apart from me.

All money raised from this will go to Flynne's parents who will use it to complete the large barn space. Please please please help me raise a good amount of money for this; I'm going to really struggle to not take a cheeky tequila shot or drink a margarita on Margarita Mondays but this charity means to much to me for me to fail.
