Iʼve raised £200 to go towards the cost of a coach for the Coventry Corps of Drums.
- Coventry, United Kingdom
- Funded on Monday, 12th June 2017
Don't have time to donate right now?
Story
My son Malachi joined the Corps of Drums in February 2015 when he was 11.
Between then and now he has learnt to play the trumpet, progressed on to mellophone, learnt how to polish his boots(!) made some amazing friends and travelled hundreds of miles across the country.
The band have another busy season of performing across the UK in 2017. It is also the band's 70th Anniversry!
As part of their celebrations they are planning a trip to Kiel in Germany to perform there as part of the 70th Anniversary of Coventry being twinned with Kiel.
Unfortunately the coach the band have at the moment is on its last legs (wheels!!) and not able to travel the hundreds of miles needed.
So the band need to raise funds to buy a new coach!
Sunday 14th May the Band will be taking part in the Coventry Walkathon in full uniform and playing during the walk.
They are hoping to raise £1000 which will be doubled by the Leofric Lions.
So please if you're able to contribute then all donations, no matter how small will be gratefully received x
Thank you for taking the time to read!!
