On Saturday the 22nd September the gym is holding a sponsored row event. There are 4 individual members who will cover the mammoth distance of 42,195m alone, alongside them there are 3 teams of 4 splitting the distance between them.
The money raised from this event will be going to the Cardenden playpark committee to help towards there funding for a new playpark. The park site had equipment that had reached the end of its life and was taken away by the council without any future plans to replace anything. This site is right next to a primary school and was used by the kids everyday. The group members are a few local mums who over the last year have held many fundraising events but are still a long way from target.
We as a gym feel that playparks contribute to children's health and wellbeing and would love to help this group by giving as much as we can.
We are sure there will be a great atmosphere on the day and we would love to see other members pop by to keep up the morale.
