I have been serving in the British army for nearly 10 years now,, since i was 16. I have done a few tours of afghanistan and i have a young family back home in scotland and I am trying my best to provide a stable life for them. I am desperate to buy a house so i have something to leave my son after I pass and a family home forever. The wages in the Army arent the best and some months I struggle to get by. I will always put my family before myself and i quite often have to do jobs 'on the side' whilst im on leave, instead of soending time with my family.

Despite all this ive only managed to save £3000 so far. My goal is to raise £20,000 for a deposit on a house. My budget for a house is only £70,000. The reason i need such a large deposit is it will make the monthly payments managable. Im not after anything fancy in life, i just need stability for my family. I have never took a penny that isnt mine and i like to stand on my own 2 feet. I am only on here because i am getting desperate and i worry for my sons future.

I just want him to have a good life.
