Story

Forfar Instrumental Band has brought Brass Band music to Angus and Tayside for generations. We were one of the founding members of SBBA (Scottish Brass Band Association) in 1895.

Our Band is made up of 30 players in varying age and ability, but more importantly we are family friendly with half of our Band being siblings or children of existing members.

Our Brass Band has a long and varied history as a key part of the community and for us to continue in the future it is vital to have high quality experienced players.

We would love to be able to fund all of our 11 young players to attend The NYBBS (National Youth Brass Bands of Scotland) Residential Summer School where they will receive expert tuition over one week from the Musical Directors of some of the top Brass Bands in the UK.

This is a Fantastic Opportunity for our young players - please help them get there!

Delighted to support this venture. I played with FIB in my school days during the early 80’s and it was a fabulous experience. Glad to see it’s still going strong.
