Weʼve raised £430 to help save our beloved Gibson Park Little Learners - a non-profit early years nursery based in Melrose (Scottish Charity Reg. No SCO17075)

Funded on Friday, 5th October 2018

    Story

The committee of Gibson Park Little Learners are reaching out to the local community and any generous person in a desperate plea to help save our much loved and much valued local institution that has been part of the town for over 50 years.

Gibson Park Little Learners are a non-profit organisation helping to cater to the development and care of children ranging from 2.5 to 5 years of age, operating from the local parish church hall.

Sadly, due to a reduction in our enrolment numbers, we find ourselves unable to cover operating costs, and are threatened with closure if we cannot raise much needed funds to pay for staffing, rent and other vital overheads.

In order to survive, we urgently need to raise £5000 in donations by 21st September 2018. If we are unable to meet this sum, we will be forced to close the doors of this wonderful group.

We desperately need help from the local community/ businesses/anyone who has a kind heart in order to keep Gibson Park going, and we are hoping that you can help. Any amount big or small would be welcomed and massively appreciated.

Should we fail to make our £5000 target, any business/person who has donated will have their donation returned to them.

Please help us keep Gibson Park Little Learners alive for another 50 years 😍

Despite all of your amazingly generous donations, we have unfortunately failed to hit our target and so, as promised, you will be refunded in the coming weeks. Gibson Park Little Learners will not be re-opening after the October break. Dwindling numbers means we are no longer sustainable and we have had to make the hard decision to close the facility. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the years. We look back fondly at the memories that have been made with the many children who have come through the doors... x
