Both completed the run today so really pleased. My plod yielded 2hr29, though the last three miles or so we're tough. Izzy clocked 2hr49 despite taking a nasty tumble after about 3 miles. She's already making noises about next year, think she must be out to finish me off to see if there's any inheritance! Thanks for all of the donations so far, with a number of promises also made. This will really help the group start off the new season well. We set off for Newcastle tomorrow, both looking forward to the day ahead of us on Sunday. A week to go before the big day. My 5th GNR so I have no worries, but Izzy's first so she's delighted to have got the full distance under her belt during training. Hoping for decent weather on the day. Thanks for donations so far - I know more are promised.
