Unfortunately, my dear friend Kyrah was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer, and has been given just months left to live. She will be leaving behind her girlfriend Aurelia, and her two children, Jay (13) and Saoirse (9).

As with all loving parents she wants to ensure the kids have the best future after she has passed, and I would like to help her with that by raising some money to put into a Child Trust Fund/Junior ISA for when they are 18.

So to raise funds, I have decided to do a few short runs, namely:

26th August - St Begas Ultra Trail Race 35 mile (56.3km) ultra marathon
27th August - Bollington 10k (6.1 miles)
3rd September - Gritstone Grind 35 mile ultra marathon
14th October - Skipton Canal 45km (27.9 miles - not a race but I'm going to run it).

Joining me on the Skipton Canal event is my friend Simon Handley, who has also agreed to raise money for this good cause.
