I have set up this charity for my beloved late father Abdus Salam and our beloved late grandmother Aftera Khatun. We have decided to set up a water well in Bangladesh in their names, to honour them as they have always given so much to chairty. Please help us raise money for our loved ones this Ramadan. A water well gives access to safe drinking water and can transform lives. The gift of a tube well will ensure that up to 4 families have access to clean water for drinking, washing and cooking.

Tube wells are manually operated and can lift water from about 30 metres beneath the ground. They are designed to last at least 10 years and can be easily maintained by the beneficiary. “The best form of charity is giving water”. “Those who spend their wealth in Allah ‘s way by night and by day, secretly and publicly they will have their reward with their Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.” [Quran, 2:274]

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “When a man dies his deeds come to an end except for three things Sadaqah Jariyah ceaseless charity, a knowledge which is beneficial or a virtuous descendant who prays for him for the deceased” ~Sources Sahih Al-Bukhari & Muslim.

Am doing this in memory of my father Abdus Salam and my Grandmother Aftera khatun who passed away, may this be sadaqah jariyah for them. By sacrificing part of one’s wealth and giving it in charity, the individual is guaranteeing protection for themselves from tragedy and misfortune. The Prophet said: “Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.” (Al-Tirmidhi) "For those who give in Charity, men and women, and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan, it shall be increased manifold, and they shall have a reward." - Surah Al-Hadid (57:18)
