On May 6th this year me and my Dad are running Birminghams City Simply Health 10K in memory of my beautiful friend Olivia Faulkner. Olivia was not only the most talented performer I knew but also a wonderful and special friend to me. The Olivia Faulkner Foundation (TOFF) has been set up to raise awareness for performers mental health.

She was sadly taken away from us at just 19 years old. Olivia Emma Faulkner, a dancer, singer, actress and all round amazing talent. Olivia started her dance journey at the tender age of 3 and was always destined to follow her dreams to be a West End star. She left home at the age of 13 to attend full time dance school and then following her dreams went on to gain a place in one of the top dance colleges in London, Laine theatre arts at the young age of 16. This is where her dreams truly became reality. Olivia graduated in July 2017 with the highest accolade from college; top female vocal award and most promising star of the future . The day of graduation she was offered her first professional job in the musical, 'Pippin'. She was so excited to land her first major role, and as a family we were so incredibly proud of her. Continuing on her journey to stardom she was then offered a transfer to perform the show in London with her Pippin family starting in February 2018 . Olivia was loved by so many people and wherever she went she always became part of their families . She was always singing, such a fun loving girl who had so much to look forward to . On Monday 27th November we got the devastating news that Olivia had tragically taken her own life . We will never know why. She was always smiling, laughing, and constantly singing in her London flat with her friends, at her home with her family and everywhere in between.
