My name is Harry Guild and I am one of 36 young scouts from Northamptonshire, that have been lucky enough to be selected to attend the 24th World Scout Jamboree in 2019 which takes place in West Virginia, USA.

This is a life changing experience that very few young people get the opportunity to participate in. The experience is not just about the trip to North America, it is about the journey that will get me there along the way.

The UK contingent have a lot of fundraising to do, we have to pay our own costs, but also help make it possible for young people from deprived countries to attend with our help.

Fundraising is a huge element of the journey and this along with another 40,000 scouts globally will make it possible for this life time experience to take place for me and many other less fortunate young people. I will have the opportunity experience different cultures first hand, share languages and life experience.

Over the next year I will be holding various fundraising events including car washing, race nights, quizzes, saving my pocket money, cake sales and offering my helpful hands to carry out chores and jobs, as well as group events.

This page is just one element of my fundraising. I would be grateful for any amount you are able to donate, no matter how small.
