    Story

As part of our fundraising Cecily is doing a half marathon and Hebe is doing a Sprint triathlon. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and we thank you in advance for you generosity. None off the money raised will go towards our expenses it will all go towards the children and the charity and equipment.
Cecily and Hebe are both in the L6th (17 years of age) and both have a passion for netball, our favourite sport. We both played for our school first teamed county this year and we know how lucky we are to be able to have such great coaching fromm both staff and top level players. We would like to give back to other people who are not as fortunate as we are and do not get the coaching or the opportunities to share the love for netball that we have. We decided that a volunteering opportunity to coach netball in Ghana would be perfect not only to share our love for the sport with others but also also experience living an African Community whilst helping with the children.
Our main aim for this trip is to coach children in Teshie Nungua, Ghana. Our day to day itinery, is difficult to specify at this stage but a general outline is as follows. Morning and after school coaching sessions as a lot of children will be in lessons during the day. We can also get involved with the school’s work during the day when we are not coaching or we have the opportunity to help in a nearby orphanage which we are very keen to do.

    Thank You,
    Hebe and Cecily
