Story

This is my beautiful daughter Olivia. She has been very poorly all over the summer holidays and after having a appendicitis, she had infections resulting from the operation. For those that know me, know I've just qualified as a Nurse, as such I've had to take unpaid time off to look after her and her brothers. Olivia missed out on her summer and has now lost her hair. I'm fundraising as I want to give her a great day of pampering and she has her eye on some super cool wigs! I would love to buy them and make her feel great before she starts back school but as I haven't been paid this month, nor will I next I'm asking for your help, It does feel like begging but this girl means the world to me and I want to show her that I know how brave she's been and for a 15 year old girl she has shown more maturity and grace than anyone I know. If you can help by donating a little, it will show she's loved and she deserves a break

Hello guys, So Olivia and I had a meeting today with the surgeons and specialists. Olivia's disease is very progressive and has damage her uterus. So she has been told she needs to have a stoma. Which because of the severity of her condition with probably be permanent. I have to say I was truly amazed by how she handled it, and even said she could make bespoke covers as she is brilliant at art and creative stuff! so proud of her. The surgery takes place on Friday so please send positive thoughts and prayers, we welcome all xxxx

If you can’t donate that okay, but could I ask you to send Olivia a Christmas card. She’s on ward 10 Room 19 at the LRI and I know that receiving Christmas cards will really lift her spirits x

Olivia came home on Friday! She has done amazing. She has struggled with the fact we all eat around her but has done great. We have been signed off by the community nurses for her TPN and just the Diana nurses to visit now. I can’t believe we are home and I’m praying that this is the start to her recovery but physically and mentally
