Story
I'm taking to the skies on 4th February 2017 and will complete a tandem sky dive to raise funds for my 2 year old godson Emerson.
On 15th August 2016, life changed dramatically for Emerson and his family due to a cyst on his spine. Where the cyst was positioned on his spine means Emerson still has no feeling in the lower part of his body (C6/C7 T2- Tetraplegia).
The cyst has been removed, but he is now classed as disabled-incomplete and will require many years of rehabilitation, it is unknown if Emerson will be able to walk again but the doctors are positive and say that there is a good chance of Emerson regaining his mobility, through physio therapy and the use of specialist equipment.
He is already able to move his arms and now his family will concentrate on working on his legs /lower trunk and bowel management, but this requires time, equipment, physio therapy and hydro therapy, which is a limited service through the NHS.
Emerson will never gain 100% mobility back but his family are not giving up hope.
My aim with the money raised is to purchase a wheelchair for Emerson, this will make a big difference. Thank you so much for your kind donation and good wishes it's really appreciated.

7 years agoHello, Well today was the day...... it had finally arrived. The sky was blue and the sun was shining as I took to the skies for my fundraising skydive. Apart from being surprisingly amazing I actually enjoyed it (not that I will be rushing back any time soon to do it again!) but the views were spectacular! My family and friends including Emerson and his family arrived to see me take off and arrive safely back to earth. Thank you again for your kind donations and words of encouragement. Here are a few pictures of my day.
