Rosa was 39 when on February 2017, the Cystic Fibrosis took her away from her family, friends, patients. She was an amazing human being, a beautiful and charming woman, a real fighter. She was a friend, a daughter and a beloved sister. She was endlessly spreading positive energy and she lived her life to the full.

Since that February, Rosa's sister has been raising money to support the Italian Cystic Fibrosis society, to find a cure and give HOPE to the millions of people who live with this condition. HOPE it also means Helping Other People Eternally, and this is something absolutely achievable. We can all do our bit to make it happen.

Last year I run my first half marathon in memory of Rosa. Thanks to your generosity we reached £1030 out of a £500 goal. In 6 weeks, on 5th August, I will be there again and I HOPE you will be running this challenge with me. Rosa aveva 39 anni quando nel Febbraio del 2017 la Fibrosi cistica l'ha rubata alla sua famiglia, ai suoi amici, ai suoi pazienti. Rosa era un essere umano meraviglioso, di quelli che raramente si incontrano nella vita. Una donna bellissima ed affascinante e una vera lottatrice. Un' amica, una figlia e una stra-adorata sorella. Una continua fonte di contagiosa energia positiva ha vissuto la sua vita al massimo.

Da quel Febbraio, Teresa, sua sorella, ha organizzato eventi su eventi per raccogliere fondi a supporto della Fondazione Italiana Fibrosi Cistica con lo scopo di trovare finalmente una cura e restituire speranza a milioni di persone che convivono con questa grave malattia. Speranza in inglese è HOPE che è anche il nome del progetto di ricerca della fondazione il cui acronimo Helping Other People Eternally, vuol dire "Aiutando altre persone a vivere eternamente".

L'anno scorso ho corso la mia prima mezza maratona in memoria di Rosa. Grazie alla vostra generosità abbiamo raccolto £1030 su un obiettivo iniziale di £500 contribuendo al progetto HOPE.
