On Sunday 29th April, Humzah (8), Zaynab (6) and Hayder (1) are taking part in a 1 mile sponsored walk to raise money for the Haneen Nursery for Orphans in Karbala.

They feel very strongly about the cause, and as Zaynab said 'I hope we can help the children have some fun and happiness in nursery like we used to'. They would like your help to raise as much money as possible so that the children who have grown up only seeing war can now enjoy normal childhood experiences.

The money will be used to provide educational activities, medical assistance and food for the children.

All the money raised here will be given directly to Romana Kazmi, who travels frequently to Iraq, and she will hand over the money to the nursery personally. Romana, along with a team of teachers from the UK, will oversee the training of local Iraqi teachers and help them to develop structured learning for the children by assisting them with lesson plans and next step targets for each child.
