Story
Each girl at the Jones Safe House needs around 300 sanitary towels a year. So this month I have decided to run 300km (10k a day) to raise awareness of this. Sanitary products are expensive in South Africa, and with food bills, health care, education and other essential costs the Jones' already have a lot of expense to deal with.
I am now 150km through this challenge, and just wanted to say a massive thank you to all those who have supported me on raising funds that we will take out with us in July 2019, when we head back out to Cape Town.
We first visited the Jones Safe House in 2012, and since then we have taken over 100 TRC students out to Cape Town to volunteer with these wonderful children. Many of you reading this will have supported me in previous years when i raised money to pay for school fees. So thanks again, all money raised goes directly to the Safe House and makes a massive difference. Ian
