I recently visited an orphanage in Accra in Ghana, I was appalled at the conditions to which young children are having to sleep, especially in this day and age. They were sleeping on just the mattress without any bedding. The mattresses looked like then have seen better days and certainly did not look healthy by any means. Instantly I decided I would ask family and friends if they had any spare bed clothes they could offer for these children in need. The response has been tremendous and as a result I am shipping not one but two barrels to the charity in Ghana.

At least this way we are all making a concerted effort to help children in need and by way of donating your old bed clothes, you should find solace in the fact that someone will gain comfort from using your old bed clothes.

Some people have already been out and bought new items, but really I do not want to put you through too much expense, I would really appreciate used but clean bed clothes so that I can have them shipped over to the orphanage to help the children at least sleep comfortable in relatively good quality bed clothes.

As a result of your response, I am now sending two barrels across to the orphanage I am asking for used single bed clothes only. The plan is to send two barrels which each cost £30 to purchase and shipping cost £95 each.
