Children from poor families in Nepal often face a lot hardship in their lives. If their parent’s end up in prison, the living conditions for these children become even worse. They are exposed to violence, receive no education-overall, have no real childhood. Even though prisoners want to give their everything to their children, as prisoners, they cannot provide much.

Children deserve a home, Children deserve food. Indira founder of PA Nepal, has this dream for every child in Nepal to live in a safe place, have at least 3 meals a day and go to school with other kids of the same age. Together with her help, imprisoned parents receive the support for their children. Indira fights every day to rescue children from prisons, often receiving direct calls from prisoners, crying for help. She has by now set up children’s homes across Nepal, a school where they get the education they deserve, and overall, she puts her energy to prisoners rights, treating them and their family members Currently Indira takes care of 500 children, she has already rescued 1600 over the past 27 years but there are many more who need help.
