    Story

Hi all. I am setting up this page to raise funds to help support the Neonatal Unit ICU unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital. As most of you may already be aware myself and Gillian lost our baby girl Faith after just two days on the 13th July 2017. Faith was diagnosed with a tumour in her brain after an anomaly on our 20 week scan. At this time we knew that there was going to be complications throughtout the pregnancy and beyond. Nearly 10 weeks later Faith was born and what a beautiful thing she was. The tumour in her brain had grown and adding this to her being premature at just under 30 weeks we knew that times ahead would be challenging for us all. We received great care in the RVH and can't put into words how well the doctors, nurses and midwives looked after us all. The two days we got to share with our daughter were so memorable and will stay in our hearts forever. There were little things that the hospital did for us that go beyond standard care. In Faith's final hours we got the opportunity to nurse her, take pictures, have her baptised, have prints of her hands and feet moulded onto clay and a memory box containing items which we hold so dearly. These things many of you may not know about. With the hospital being underfunded and with further cuts expected we would like to raise some funds to help all the children that use the Neonatal Unit in the memory of Faith. The incubator that Faith was in during her short time had been donated by another family as was other equipment throughout ICU.

As a result friends of ours have organised a fundraiser for kids at the Playzone at the Valley Leisure Centre on Friday 20th October 6-8pm. Places are limited to 90 children so please contact either of us directly should you wish to attend. We are asking for a donantion of £5 per child for the fundraiser. There will also be some arts and crafts and treats on the night.

We are trying to raise as much money as possible. I know that some of you may have children that have used the facility at the ICU or know a relative or friend who has so please donate to this great cause.

We are so grateful for all your support.

Adrian, Gillian, Ella, Faith and all our family circles.
