What we are doing:
I am taking part in 3 of the Nuclear Races mud obstacle courses this year totalling 19k across the year. The first will be 7k on May 19th, the second will be 5k on September 8th and the final will be a very cold 7k on November 3rd. I'm not exactly a fitness fanatic so all of this will be a challenge for me.

Sofia is doing both the children's 1.5k rookie races this year in May and September (accompanied by me).

What we are doing it all for:
Pemberley Academy has only been open for 3 years and is therefore still purchasing some equipment for the children. We all know that these days funding for schools is very limited and it's for this reason I would like to help raise the money.

IT is extremely important in the modern world and not all children come from backgrounds where they have access to technology early and for the age range of 4-5 year olds, navigating a laptop without touch screen is extremely difficult so they miss out on this early development. Not only will the children be learning to use and look after a technical piece of equipment, there are many apps out there which are extremely educational and beneficial in terms of practising phonics and maths through games.

Pemberley Academy is extremely committed to developing its pupils both academically but also with their social/emotional needs. They have offered my daughter the absolute best start to her schooling and she has learnt so much in class and through the various clubs they offer so I really want to help give something back and help them to continue to be the best school they can be and help with the education of hundreds of young children. Even if you can only donate £1, every donation held towards the final amount and I'd really appreciate it (and daresay the children would too once they have ipads to learn with).
