On December the 2nd 2017 my husband SEAN had a cardiac arrest while in bed beside me. On phoning 999 l was instructed to perform cpr on him until the paramedics and ambulance arrived. He spent 9 days in the North West Heart Unit at Wythenshawe Hospital, but due to the damage to his brain we sadly turned the machines off on December 11th after saying our final good byes.

In his memory The Farmers Arms , Lomgley Lane, Northenden are having a fund raising night, on February 10th to raise enough money to buy a defibrillator for the community of Northenden that can be accessed 24 hours a day. After a cardiac arrest the quicker you get the heart started the less chance of brain damage there is.

Sean was 65 years old, just retired,never ill, always ready for a laugh and full of life.

I feel proud that Val the landlady, wants to do this fundraising in his name and l Know he would have been delighted himself.
