Hi. I am running the Basingstoke half marathon on 7h October . I am raising money for ticehurst nursing home which is based in aldershot , this home is where my grandad spent his last few months of his life, where he recieved 24hour care and was made as comfortable and feeling like it was home for the time he spent here. Unfortunately before passing he was showing signs of dementia and was not eating properly therefore needed care from specialist in this area. This home was the best place for him helping him keep as strong as possible and always having someone on hand when required. He passed away quietly and peacefully in this home with most of my family around him on 11 June 17 so now in his memory i would like to give something back to the wonderful staff and home who helped him spend his last few months of his life as happy as he could be.
