Story
After a short battle with COVID-19, Jake d’Alquen passed away on 17th December 2021 at the age of 34.
First and foremost, Jake was a dad to two girls. Unknown to Jake at the time of his passing, he was also father to a yet-to-be-born baby girl.
A much loved and well known selfless character from Pickering, North Yorkshire, Jake was an incredibly talented musician and performer who love spreading happiness through music - primarily through his band 'Chu Ma Shu' and his acoustic duo ‘Acoustic Brew’.
Through his musc, he brought happiness and (in many ways) escapism to thousands of people, touching the lives of everyone he came into contact with.
While we can't bring Jake back, we can do our best to set up his girls for the future - so all money donated will go into Junior ISAs for the girls, to give them opportunities which they otherwise wouldn't have.

Times are tough but there’s plenty of love and compassion out here. Loving thoughts and prayers for all the families and friends. A sad anniversary soon but I hope all can share in joyful memories. Mx

We were saddened to learn of the loss of such a talented musician so young. Jake and his band, Chumashu, played on our stage in 2018 and his musical talent and great vocal range impressed us all.
