I have personal experience of how drastically a families circumstances can change through no fault of their own. Children are very loyal to their parents/guardians and may keep distress and hardship secret. This can lead to all sorts of long term complications from mental health issues to lack of achievement and possible addiction problems in later life. Skye Young Carers offer a safe, supportive and happy environment where children can be children. They also offer support and advise to other family members. By supporting me, we can allow children to grow and flourish into adulthood. Children are our future, they deserve to be listened to and supported.
