Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Our daughter, Jessica, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) in October 2016. Her dad and I were immediately supported by an army of Drs, nurses, and various charity-funded support services that we never knew existed before we received this devastating news. We almost immediately decided to raise funds to help in this vital support effort. All of the money that we raise will be used to help make life more bearable for a child suffering from cancer, and their families, currently receiving treatment at the Great North Children's Hospital, RVI, Newcastle. Already we have given gifts of Argos vouchers to all children that were inpatients at the hospital on Christmas Day, plus we have funded a games console for another newly diagnosed child to help him pass away his time when he is too sick or exhausted to do the things that other, healthy children his age, would be doing. Please find and follow our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/jessicassmile) for regular updates of events that we have planned and children that we have helped. Many thanks for your kind support. XX
