Story
As most of you are aware, Marks 12 year old cousin Cole was told the devastating news only 5 weeks ago, after leading a normal healthy life, that he had developed Burkitt's lymphoma, an acute and aggressive form of Cancer. Cole was immediately transferred to Newcastle's RVI where he spent time in intensive care whilst doctors began extensive treatment to start Cole’s battle against this cruel disease that no child should ever have to experience. Cole’s parents, Alan & Carole are going through every parent’s worst nightmare and have been a tower of strength to Cole who is a little trooper. Cole is so poorly and continuing extensive treatment in the RVI and it would be lovely to help make his and every other child's stay at the RVI children's oncology unit a brighter one. The whole family wanted to help set up some fundraising events to support Cole, Alan & Carole throughout this difficult time who deserve some quality happy family time when Cole is well enough and hopefully this fundraising page will give everyone the opportunity to show Cole and his family that we are all behind them throughout every step of Coles fight to kick cancers butt and he will get through this because he is just amazing… stay strong Cole xxxxx

We did it!! This page is now closed and I can confirm that in total, we've exceeded our goal in reaching £2,937!! 146% of our target!! Massive well done to everyone for your generosity and kindness!!! We have reached this goal together and without a doubt showed Cole we care!! I'm sure your thoughts, kind messages and generosity will go along way in helping Cole find the strength to keep battling through his intense treatment. On behalf of Cole's family.. love and best wishes to you all for a happy Christmas and a happy, healthy new year xxx

8 years agoMessage from Carole (Cont...) Cole is currently and has been receiving chemotherapy treatment from the RVI since diagnosed and is doing well. Still a long road to travel and we are still overwhelmed by the support we have been given and would like to thank everyone. Xxx

As most are aware Cole our 12 year old son was diagnosed with burkitts lymphoma cancer on the 1st October. We made our first visit home on Saturday night but returned to the RVI hospital Newcastle Monday after Cole taken ill......
