Story
Alexander Brown my son , Donny my brother in law, William my brother and Mark ( Donny's son ) are doing the Edinburgh Great Winter 5k run on Saturday 13th January 2018. (Alexander's first ever time)
In memory of my mum Morag Harrison who sadly passed away on the 6th of December 2017 aged 64 years.
Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 after a mastectomy and Chemotherapy mum was given the all clear in October 2016.
Mum began to feel unwell around June 2017 and after collapsing on the 30th August 2017 she got the devastating news that the cancer had returned along with pneumonia.
Mum had secondary breast cancer in both lungs and was now terminal. Mum was offered chemo to prolong her life, she was due to get chemo 3 times a month but unfortunately mums health never really picked up and she only manged chemo 3 times in 14 weeks as the cancer spread to her main organs in her body causing tumors that took priority for radiotherapy. Mum spend around 10 weeks in the hospital on and off after the diagnosis and the palliative care team done everything in there power to help mum to be as comfortable as possible, as well as doing house visits. Mum and the family were so gratefully for the care mum received in and out the hospital.
They are raising money for the Palliative care team.
Mum managed to raise £130.00 from her hospital bed.
A further £243.00 was raised at mums funeral
Any donation would greatly be appreciated
