To commemorate the life of our good friend John Frood, some of his compatriots from the South Devon Diesel Traction group have arranged a running day on the 25th February 2017 with Crompton 33002 (D6501). The running day will be held at the South Devon Railway, where John spent many a happy hour and made many friends. His ashes will also be scattered along the line on the day. We are looking to cover the costs of a memorial cab plaque for 33002, plus a wreath and cover for any additional costs associated with the day. Any surplus will be donated to the British Heart Foundation.
