    Story

In 1922 a Potts Memorial Clock was commissioned and installed at Dacre Braithwaite CE Primary School. This was installed in memory of the 6 ex-pupils who lost their lives in WW1. Since then the clock has been a continual reminder of the sacrifice made by these six pupils in losing their lives for the freedom of our country.

In 2003 an extension to the school was added which effectively blocked the clock from being seen at the school. During this summer the clock has been removed and completely renovated back to working order. The clock is being re-installed in a more visible location on the school premises where it can be enjoyed by all pupils and visitors to this remote community school.
