    Story

On the 13th feb 2021 my Aunty, Julie Moss, passed away having caught corona virus. She was only 55 and had battled since the age of 13 with Kidney problems, after suffering a fall from a horse.
Whilst in hospital the Coronavirus had caused her blood to go sticky and formed blood clots in her leg, she needed major surgery to stand any chance of surviving. Unfortunately with her kidney problems and the covid forcing her to be on Oxygen, she was not fit enough to make it through surgery.
The doctors said she had 24-48 hours to live, which was accurate as she passed away on the morning of the 13th after being told on the 11th.
Thankfully her daughter Kelly got to be with her until she passed peacefully, and during the 48 hours, people who loved her were able to see and speak with her one final time through video call.
I didn't see my Aunty very often, especially after moving to Birmingham, it was mainly if I visited my mum or at special occasions and she was there.
Even though I didn't see her much, those last couple of days knowing she was dying, when she wasn't ready yet, was extremely hard to take. I will miss her and her great sense of humour, she was a fighter and she fought until the end RIP aunty Julie.
The fundraising I am about to do is in memory of my Aunty Julie and all money raised will be donated to the Loughborough Renal Unit who had looked after her for the last 30 years, Julie's daughter Kelly tells me how well they looked after her mum and it is where she would've liked the money to go.
To raise this money I am going to attempt to Run from Villa Park (Aston Villa FC) to the Kingpower Stadium (Leicester City FC) roughly around 37 miles, and I plan to do it on Sunday the 23rd May (last day of the premier league season)
The furthest run I have done in recent times is 6 mile, so I have my work cut out! I am going to aim to complete it in Under 7 hours. So wish me luck and any donations will be gratefully appreciated.
    Thank you for reading.

I crossed the finish line at around 1348 on Sunday, it took me 6hrs 48mins, delighted with that. The run was quite comfortable up until the 18 mile point and then the pain and cramping started and didn't stop, but I carried on and got the job done, with the help of the two guys in the picture supporting me along the way. On the bike is my Uncle Chris Leake who carried some fuel supplies for me and on my Right is one of my Royal Marine friends Richard Pemberton. Thank you to them and all you people who have supported me along this journey 🙌

Been a few weeks since I posted here so apologies for that, but training has been going well and today I managed to complete a marathon, it was tough but I got it done. Two weeks today, I'll have another 11 miles to complete on top of that, which is gonna be extra hard but again I will persevere with the commando mindset that is instilled in me and get it done 👊. As always thank you all for your support and donations 🙌

So guys I did my longest run this weekend and whilst doing it I ran from mile 8 (M42 Junc 9) to mile 17 (Atherstone A5) of the selected route that I will be taking on the day of the race. In total it was an 18 mile round trip, which took me 2hrs 50 mins, if I can keep that pace up on the day I will smash my 7 hour target. However the last two miles, my legs started to tighten a little! I'm hoping a few more long runs like this will condition them for the extra 19 miles 🤞😬. Thanks for all your support as always 🙌

Well done, amazing fundraising mission. Having lost my own kidney warrior, my Dad, to covid in January 21 I know heartbreaking it has been to loose someone so wanted to share my support to your cause
