Lynsey and I are doing a skydive on the 5th May 2018 in memory of our beautiful Orla who was born sleeping 8th April 2016 and hoping to raise lots of money for Abbie's Fund who provide memory boxes and keepsakes at Hull Women and Children's Hospital. Please donate whatever you can even if its a £1 or 2 it all helps!!!
Our Story
In April 2016, we were awaiting our second daughter Orla to make her appearance. I was almost 37 weeks pregnant when something didn't feel right and I paid the hospital a visit. While there, her little heartbeat showed on the monitor intermittently and I was told there was no need to worry. I felt reassured that she was ok. Only when her heartbeat kept dipping and disappearing off the monitor, did they try other meaasures to find a strong heartbeat. Unfortunately they were unable to do so and I was taken into a side room on my own. A doctor came to scan me and told me those words I'll never forget. That we had lost her. We spent a few very special days with her at the hospital before having to make the heartbreaking journey home without her. While at the hospital, we were provided with a lovely pink memory box filled with keepsakes such as a footprint kit, a candle for us to light on anniversaries and special occasions, two teddies; one for Orla and one for us to keep and many more special items. A registered charity called ABBIES FUND provided us with this memory box and without it, we'd feel empty. This has helped us tremendously on our journey through grief. All we want to do is raise a little something to give to Abbies Fund by doing this skydive in April 2018. The money raised will help put together so many more of these memory boxes for other Mummies, Daddies, sisters, brothers, grandmas and grandads going through what our families and ourselves have been through. I just want to say a massive THANK YOU for taking your time to read this. And thank you for helping us raise more money for this amazing charity.

I’m 31, Daddy to Elsie, Arlo and our angel Orla. Husband to Lynsey. I’m a classic Mini owner and love animals. I have Dystonia and had deep brain stimulation in 2008 transforming me from a wheelchair to walking! It’s provided me with enough confidence to do this for Orla.
