Joshua Bwalya or 'JB' to his many many friends and family had his whole life and so many amazing opportunities to look forward to in his future.

This was all cruelly and senselessly taken away from him when he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. A cliche definitely but JB was one of the happiest, most respectful and non-confrontational young men you could ever have the fortune to meet. He was always the joker and managed to cheer up even the most glum face. A valued teammate and friend of every Barking FC player and a massive hole is left in so many people's lives with his passing.

His parents are now having to deal with something no parent should have to face, saying goodbye to their much loved son.

We at Barking FC would like to support them to make this easier financially even if there is nothing we can do to ease their heartache. If possible and if funds allow, we would like to place some kind of memorial to JB.

He may have been taken but we will make sure he doesn't just become 'another faceless victims of knife crime'. He was widely loved and will be missed more than he could have ever imagined.
