    Story

Last Wednesday evening one of our under 9 players Leon Goodman-Hamlett and his friend Chloe Richardson's lives were turned upside down when they were involved in a horrendous road traffic accident whilst playing out, in what their families thought was the relative safety of their small estate. Leon was trapped under the car and has sustained horrific injuries to his face and head and has lost a number of teeth. He has undergone major surgery to repair multiple fractures to his face and he will most likely face further surgery in the future. He was airlifted to Birmingham Children's Hospital where he will stay for the time being.
His friend Chloe managed to get free from underneath the car but she suffered a broken pubic bone, she has now been given the all clear and discharged from the hospital after further tests. Thankfully both children escaped with their lives. As you can imagine this has shattered the lives of these two families and as Leon's football club, Hinckley Town Juniors want to do our bit to help out in any way we can. We are hoping to raise some money to help with the daily unexpected costs that they currently face and anything that Leon and Chloe will need to help with their recovery in the coming months. We can all sympathise with what these families are going through and if you can support them with a small donation they would be so grateful. We wish Leon and Chloe a super speedy recovery and hope to see Leon kicking a ball around with his team mates again when he's ready. Thank you for reading
