Weʼve raised £50 to The Kingsclere village war memorial needs urgent repairs. I am trying to help raise funds to have the work done before the WW1 2018 events.

Story
The Kingsclere village WW1 memorial has a large crack running up the pedestal that need repairing urgently in order to ensure the monument remains a focus for the village and community.
The crack is getting worse each month that passes.
The Parish Council is looking to support and lead in the repairs and the Commonwelath Wargraves Commision have been approached for a grant, but anything we can raise would help to pay for the work.
I plan to ask for support from village business sponsorship, but any contribution will help us ensure the memorial is repaired and maintained.
The monument is a focus for the brave men who gave their all during the dark days of WW1 and we owe them the respect they deserve by trying to have their monument repaired.

After serving 30 years in the military, remembering our fallen is very important to me. The repairs to the village memorial will see it through the next 100 years.
