Story
I first met Jenna in may 2019 on the Renal ward in Brighton, we soon became hospital buddies and supported each other throughout our 2 week stay, i soon learnt that Jenna was a young mum to 2 beautiful boys Noah then 9 and Dexter then 3. She was diagnosed with complete kidney failure and needs a transplant, her mum keenly put herself forward and started with the testings to be her donor. Testing was going great and they soon learnt that Jenna's mum was a match, but her mum had to have further testings to complete the process. Due to her mum being over 45 it was mandatory that she should have a mammogram, she had this done and then received news that they had detected a lump and needed to a biopsy to see if the lump in her breast was cancerous. Two weeks later Jenna's mum went for the results, it wasn't good news, her mum had breast cancer and could no longer be a donor to give her a kidney, as you can imagine this news alone was devestating. Then to top it off Jenna's youngest boy Dexter became poorly and was sent to have blood tests done, within 2 hours of the blood test being done the hospital called Jenna and told her her little boy needed to be returned to the hospital immediately and was being admitted!! She was then told that her little 4 year old son has leukemia, and would need to be transferred to London to start chemo, and that they would be there for a month!!!! Noah, Jenna's eldest son has had to deal with all this heartbreak, first his mum then his Nan and now his baby brother!!! He's a real trooper and I can't even begin to imagine what must be going through his head.... It's one week until Christmas too and this young family's world has been ripped in half !!! I would like to raise some money so that they can all enjoy Christmas together and help them create special memories and help with the financial burden of travel, to and from home to London. Please help in anyway you can, this young family have more than their fair share of bad luck in the last 8 months.
