My dear friend Krista Schofield passed away very suddenly on the 16th October, leaving behind her husband Matt and 2 beautiful sons - Gene and Ernie.

Krista was an amazing person, she could make anyone feel at ease, and always found a way to care for others. Her husband Matt has been battling with Cholangiocarcinoma cancer, a rare form of bile duct cancer since first being diagnosed in 2014. Krista has managed to look after her family, as well as recently setting up a homeless kitchen in her home town of Bolton, she has worked non stop to help others.

While money will never bring Krista back, my concern right now is for Matt and the boys, who were already going through a tough time, and will now have an even bigger challenge without the love of their mother, wife, friend.

I welcome any donation, however small, to help them financially for the foreseeable future. Anything will help, whether its enough to take the boys on a nice trip away, to supporting their general bills/outgoings during the periods where Matt may not be well enough to work.

You may want to organise your own fundraising events, she was a very keen runner, who has already raised over 8k for the UK's only charity to raise awareness of cholangiocarcinoma cancer. Otherwise, please donate whatever you can, and we will make sure it goes direct to Matt, Gene & Ernie.xx

RIP Krista, we have so many amazing memories, and will never forget you. Xx
