Story
I have spent the last 3 months in Durban, South Africa, volunteering as an Occupational Therapist at LIV Village. LIV provides holistic residential care for orphaned and vulnerable children to Rescue a child, Restore a life, Raise a leader, and Release a star.
LIV Village has an Early Child Development Centre, School, Medical Clinic and Therapy Department. During my time at LIV, I volunteered in the Therapy Department, working with children on a 1:1 basis or group environment. I always looked forward to going to work. The smiling faces of the children and the joy in their hearts is truly inspiring.
In January 2017, I hope to return to LIV as an OT and continue working with the fantastic team. By donating you will be helping towards allowing me to follow my dreams in helping Rescue a child, Restore a life, Raise a leader, and Release a star. With your support I will be able to donate my time and expertise to provide these wonderful children with the professional therapies that can help them achieve their potential.
Thank you in advance for your kindness and support!
